The historian Herodotus described the Aethiopians as having “black skin and woolly hair,” a characterization echoed by Diodorus Siculus, reinforcing the ancient Greek understanding of the region’s population. Further insights from pre-Socratic philosophers and historical maps align with these descriptions, offering additional validation of Andromeda’s African origins.
