Miami, FL – In the competitive world of advertising, a media expert originally from Ecuador has established herself as a leader on the global stage. Andrea L. Avila’s career defined by innovation and creative cross cultural messaging has earned her a name among American based brands looking to speak the anglo and Latino markets at the same time.
Avila’s career includes 14 notable recognitions, including honors from The One Club in New York. Andrea stood out as one of the few Hispanic creatives to win an award at the 2024 edition of this prestigious annual gathering of top artists. She is the first Ecuadorian to win the Product Design and Gaming UX/UI categories for the One Club Award
That same year, she was named one of the top 30 most creative Art Directors in the United States, reflecting her expertise and consistent performance.
Her accomplishments also include two D&AD Awards in London, as well as recognition from Clio Health and Graphis. Her work is featured in the annual Graphis Book, a publication that showcases top talent in graphic design worldwide. Additionally, the American Advertising Federation has recognized her for her creative contributions across both national and international markets.
“My work is inspired by my intrinsic understanding of both American and Latin American brands and cultures allowing me to reach a wide market with my designs and art,” said Avila at the The One Club award ceremony.
Currently, she is part of the executive team at David Miami, a renowned advertising agency that designs for Netflix, Google, Sour Patch Kids, and Coca-Cola. Her work with these top brands guarantees that her art has been enjoyed by a majority of consumers in the US, giving her great influence to shape the creative narrative in American culture. Reflecting on the industry, she emphasizes how advertising has become a space of endless opportunities.
“It doesn’t matter where you come from,” she says. “The key is finding insights and emotions that connect audiences with brands. When you do that, you can achieve anything.”
She also highlights the unique strengths Latinos bring to the field.
“We have an abundance of creativity and resourcefulness. We always find ways—whether easy or challenging—to connect with audiences on a deeper level,” she says.

In Ecuador, Avila’s art reached the pinnacle of achievement in that country having been showcased at the renowned Colorantes de la Luz exhibition as well as Tertulia Cinema for which she was featured in Forbes Magazine.
