Introducing the Made in Treasure Beach Art Festival: A New Celebration of Community Creativity

April 07 20:02 2025

Treasure Beach, Jamaica – This Easter, the quiet, culturally rich community of Treasure Beach will come alive with color, creativity, and connection as it hosts the first-ever Made in Treasure Beach Art Festival, taking place April 19–21, 2025.

We at myirieescape.com are proud to support this exciting new event, which celebrates the heart and soul of Treasure Beach through art, craft, workshops, and studio tours that highlight the incredible local talent that makes this community so special.

Organized by a collective of Treasure Beach-based artists, the festival is a grassroots initiative built on collaboration and community pride. With the motto “Likkle but Tallawah,” the event offers a cozy, authentic experience where visitors can explore the town through its creative voices. It’s a chance to meet the artists, experience their work firsthand, and even learn new skills through hands-on workshops.

More than 20 participating artists will be featured, offering everything from sculpture, painting, and pottery to jewellery, textiles, and woodwork. Attendees can visit studios, galleries, and pop-up exhibitions across five key locations: Billy’s Bay, Frenchman’s Bay, Calabash Bay, Old Wharf, and Great Bay.

Highlights include:

  • Studio visits and demos by artists like Jeff Menzies, Mazola Wa Mwashighadi, and Marina Burnel
  • Artisan markets featuring handmade pieces from The Girl and the Magpie, Treasure

Beach Women’s Group, Robert Wright, and more

  • Workshops in mosaic art, drum-making, mixed media, and traditional carving
  • Creative stops at local favorites such as the Jamaica Center for the Arts, Callaloo Butik, and the Artisan Wood of Life Gallery

This festival is not just about showcasing art — it’s about honoring the spirit of Treasure Beach: self-reliance, expression, and togetherness. Many of the artists live and work right here in the community, making this an extraordinary opportunity for visitors to engage deeply with the local culture.

We also extend a big thank you to our villa partners Amelia’s and Minerva House, who are helping bring this cultural celebration to life. Through their support and hospitality, guests from near and far can experience the artistic heartbeat of Treasure Beach in comfort and style.

Whether you’re an art lover, a curious traveler, or a local supporter, this is your invitation to dive into the creative energy that makes Treasure Beach shine.

Come be a part of something meaningful. Come celebrate what’s Made in Treasure Beach.
