“Hey Boy” draws inspiration from Kelly Clarkson’s single “Haunted,” blending dark guitar riffs with a vibrant pop twist. Determined to create something fresh and unique, Joshi spent days fine-tuning the lyrics and melody, crafting a single that radiates energy and pop appeal. ”Hey Boy” really came from a place where I wanted the song to feel vibrant. And have something unique, something that I have never put out. I spent a couple days writing the song and trying to understand the instrumental and something just struck a chord in my head and was listening to that chord and that’s how I started to come up with “Hey Boy.” I think the song is really fun and gives that pop vibe.”
With a musical journey dating back to childhood, Joshi’s passion for music was ignited by his grandmother’s influence and fueled by the escape it offered from a challenging upbringing. With deep musical roots, Joshi has been pursuing his passion since the age of five. His journey began with karaoke performances for his supportive neighbors in La Habra, CA, later expanding to drama clubs, private events, and a growing fan base of over 6,000 on TikTok. With a passion for performing, Joshi hopes to embark on a tour soon, working toward his dream of releasing a full-length album.
Following the release of “Hey Boy,” Joshi is gearing up to drop two more singles. “Beauty and the Beat” is a fusion of Latin and pop influences, drawing inspiration from Gloria Estefan’s “Rhythm Is Gonna Get You” and Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend.” Infused with an ’80s flair, the track captures the excitement of an intense first encounter, balancing seduction with an irresistible dance-floor energy. Meanwhile, “Neon Lights” takes cues from Miley Cyrus’s “Flowers,” channeling the neon-lit club scenes of the ’80s. Written by Blayke, the song delves into the emotional rollercoaster of breakups and reconciliations, all wrapped in a high-energy, dance-infused soundscape.
A strong advocate for mental health, Joshi admires the Born This Way Foundation, which empowers and supports young people.
