She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Coppin State University, then pursued a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner, at the University of Texas, El Paso. Her thirst for knowledge continued as she completed a Post-Masters in Psychiatry Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Drexel University.
In her professional career, Adetimbo has honed her skills and expertise through various roles, including serving as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and Medical Director. With over a decade of experience in inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, post-acute rehab facilities, and home-based care, she is known for her holistic approach to patient care and her dedication to advocating for the well-being of individuals and families. Additionally, Adetimbo holds certifications in family medicine, psychiatry, and addiction medicine, further expanding her expertise in addressing complex mental health and medical needs.
Adetimbo’s true passion lies in her work through Thrive and Live, Inc., which she founded to provide essential mental health outreach programs and services to underserved communities in Maryland, USA, and Nigeria. Her vision for Thrive and Live is one of global impact, aiming to create lasting change in areas where access to mental health care has been limited. Through this organization, Adetimbo works tirelessly to break down barriers and provide the necessary resources for mental well-being, knowing that access to mental health services can be life-changing.
