London, UK – March 6th, 2025 – Life Risk News is delighted to announce the agenda for the Life ILS Conference 2025.
This year’s conference kicks off with a keynote presentation from Professor Richard Faragher, Professor of Biogerontology at Brighton University. Professor Faragher will be discussing the potential for a significant longevity extension due to a black swan event/scenario such as a breakthrough in tackling the fundamentals of ageing, something that, should it occur, would have an enormous impact on the longevity and mortality markets.
A combination of panel sessions and in-depth presentations will then follow on from Professor Faragher’s keynote presentation.
Panel sessions scheduled at the event include a state of the market session where experts from across the pension risk transfer, life settlement and life ILS markets will offer their thoughts on their respective segments of the longevity and mortality markets; a discussion on innovation in longevity risk; insights into sidecars and reinsurance; and normalising for socio-economic equivalence.
Presentations at the Life ILS Conference 2025 will dig deep into the outlook for the life ILS market, whether Europe will see activity in the asset intensive life reinsurance market, emerging techniques for socio-economic mortality modelling in different jurisdictions, drivers of socioeconomic variation in mortality improvements in the UK and a look at the ‘healthy wealthy’ population as it pertains to the life settlement market.
“Once again, the life ILS conference is set to provide attendees with expert insight into the very latest developments across the longevity and mortality markets,” said Chris Wells, Executive Director at ELSA, and Managing Editor at Life Risk News.
“All segments of the life risk industry move at a fast pace, which provides both challenges and opportunities for capital markets participants. The Life ILS Conference 2025 looks forward to welcoming attendees in May in London.”
The Life ILS Conference 2025 would like to thank its sponsors, without whom the event would not be possible: EY, Longevity Holdings, ArentFox Schiff, Hudson Structured Capital Management, LifeRoc Capital, Actuarial Risk Management, BroadRiver Asset Management, Corry Capital Advisors, Wilmington Trust, Club Vita, Kilter Finance, Mayer Brown, Preston Capital, Willkie, Farr & Gallagher.
