NEW YORK, NY – Susan Troth is a respected leader, recognized for her deep commitment to community service, mentoring future generations, and guiding others through personal loss and healing. A dynamic and multifaceted individual, Susan has made significant contributions as an author, speaker, coach, professor, performer, and business owner. She is especially known for her compassionate work helping women navigate grief and loss.
In 2017, Susan experienced the profound loss of her husband, Dr. Ron Plemons, to a sudden heart attack, which left her grappling with both widowhood and infertility. This dual grief set her on a new path, inspiring her to help other women who had faced similar hardships. Through her book Stressed to Splessed (Amazon #1 New Release) and her coaching ministry, Stressed to Splessed, Susan has supported countless individuals on their healing journeys.
Susan’s professional career is marked by a diverse array of roles. She has served as a worship minister, a pastor’s wife, a K–12 music teacher, a performer, a conductor, and a small business owner. Currently, she is an Associate Professor of Worship at Cedarville University, where she was honored with the Cedarville University Service Award in 2021. A recognized expert in contemporary vocal techniques, Susan is a Master Trainer of Estill Voice, and her ensembles have performed globally.
In addition to her academic and professional roles, Susan is deeply involved in volunteer service, including disaster relief efforts, Red Cross initiatives, mission trips worldwide, coaching, women’s Bible studies, premarital counseling, grief counseling, camp ministry, prison ministry, youth ministry, children’s ministry, community hymn sings, choir tours, and as a judge for the National American Miss pageant. Her service reflects her commitment to impacting lives, particularly through faith and healing.
Susan is also a certified trauma-informed guide, offering support to those facing grief and trauma. She coaches individuals in a variety of settings, from hospitals and schools to homes and restaurants, meeting people where they are and helping them find healing in their personal struggles.
Her life and work stand as a testament to the power of faith, resilience, and hope in the face of adversity. Susan’s heart for service, particularly for women struggling with loss, has made her a beacon of hope in the Christian community. She will be sharing her experiences and insights as a spotlighted speaker at the United Nations CSW69 event on March 13, 2025, where she will continue her advocacy for healing, empowerment, and resilience.
