An Afternoon of Creativity, Connection, and Renewal
Intentions in Color is designed to offer a space where BIPOC clinicians can step back, recharge, and explore the healing power of artistic self-expression. Participants will engage in a guided creative activity, fostering both personal reflection and professional growth. Through this process, attendees will experience firsthand how creativity can be an essential tool for grounding, healing, and setting meaningful intentions.
In addition to the artistic component, the gathering will provide valuable opportunities for networking and relationship building, allowing clinicians to connect with like-minded peers who understand the unique experiences and challenges of working in the mental health field as a person of color. The event will also include intention-setting practices, helping attendees align their personal and professional goals for the year ahead.
Why This Event Matters
The mental health field can be both rewarding and emotionally demanding, and BIPOC clinicians often navigate these challenges while also confronting systemic inequities and cultural expectations. Intentions in Color aims to address these realities by fostering a supportive space where participants can reflect, create, and build community in a way that nourishes their well-being.
“This event is about more than just artistic expression—it’s about reclaiming space for ourselves as BIPOC clinicians,” says Olivia Taylor, LCSW, Practice Owner of Coral Heart Counseling, LLC. “Through creativity, we can cultivate resilience, deepen our self-awareness, and remind ourselves of the power of community in healing.”
