The Chinese Lunar New Year begins with the Spring Festival, and the festival kicks off with a family reunion dinner on New Year’s Eve. This year is the Year of the Snake according to the lunar calendar. On New Year’s Eve, a greedy snake, enticed by the aroma of the reunion dinner, travels through 13 provinces along the Yangtze River, tasting dishes that showcase the rich Yangtze River culture.
