Wynwood, Florida – February 5, 2025 – R House’s annual “YAS QUEEN” Ru Paul’s Drag Race viewing, and dinner party is back for Season 17, every Friday at 8PM from January through April. Located in Wynwood, R House is a pioneering restaurant and bar heralded for its famous weekend drag brunch, stellar food and beverage program, and outstanding entertainment.
Viewing parties will be followed by R House’s “‘YAS QUEEN” drag show, hosted by Miami’s ultimate party-starter, Athena Dion, and featuring Miami drag favorites including Juicy Love, Kat Wilderness, Tayanna Love, British Jay Foxx, Gadfrie, and D’Vice Dion.
This season, sealing its reputation as Miami’s prime location to experience the US’s freshest and most outstanding drag talent, R House is bringing an iconic roster of the hottest new drag talent direct from RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17 into town to co-host their viewing parties, make their Miami stage debuts and to meet fans at exclusive VIP meet & greets.
Season 17 fan favorites preparing to take to the R House stage include Lexi Love, Jewels Sparkles, Lana JaRae, Suzie Toot, Lucky Starzzz, and Crystal Envy. This season, Suzie Toot and Lucky Starzzz represent South Florida, both from the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. Guests will have a chance to cheer on our local queens Suzie Toot at R House on April 4th, and Lucky Starzzz for the season finale night on April 18th as the season goes out with a fabulous bang.
Specially curated by Executive Chef, Rocco Carulli, a set menu is available including an impressive appetizer sampler – perfect for sharing with the table – followed by main course options of Braised Short Rib with a coffee chili reduction, the Grilled Aji Panca Octopus curated with chimichurri puree, roasted red pepper salsa, and corn relish, or the Brazilian Chicken with a spicy coconut sauce, and a decadent chef’s choice dessert.

Guests can stop by R House’s famous drag brunch on Saturday, February 8 at 11:30AM and 2:30PM for a special performance and meet & greet with Jewels Sparkles. On Friday, January 31 and Sunday February, 2 guests will also be able to see Drag Race Season 13-star Elliott With 2 T’s perform and meet fans.
In addition to fierce live entertainment with the country’s most in-demand queens, guests can expect R House’s fabulous food, delicious drinks, and electric energy. Doors open for Happy Hour at 4PM, dinner service starts at 6:30PM, with the viewing festivities kicking off at 8PM, followed by special drag performances at 9:30PM. Guests are welcome to arrive at any time!
The popular LGBTQ+ reality show RuPaul’s Drag Race features a group of talented drag queens competing in challenges to impress host RuPaul, the world’s most famous drag queen, for the chance to win a cash prize along with a crown and the title of America’s Next Drag Superstar. Each episode consists of a main challenge, typically a dance, comedy, or fashion design task — or sometimes all 3.
The queens then participate in a themed runway show, where one is declared the winner of that week, while two others are up for elimination. The bottom two must compete with a lip-sync for their lives to stay on the show. The new Season 17 officially premiered on January 4th and will continue to air every Friday at 8PM until April 2025.
R House is located at 2727 NW 2nd Avenue in Wynwood. The restaurant is open for dinner Wednesday through Saturday. Happy Hour is available Wednesday through Friday 4PM-7PM. R Chateau dinner party is offered Saturday nights from 8PM. Drag Brunch is offered at 11:30AM and 2:30PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
