Details of the Scholarship and How to Apply
The Ernest Varvoutis Scholarship for Accounting is open to undergraduate students enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and submit an original essay that answers the following question:
Essay Prompt: What inspired your interest in accounting, and what are your long-term career goals in the field? How do you plan to use your accounting education to contribute to the profession and community? What challenges do you foresee, and how do you plan to overcome them?
Applications for the scholarship will be accepted through October 15, 2025, with the winner announced on November 15, 2025. Along with the essay, applicants must submit a current transcript, a resume, and any other supporting materials requested.
The $1,000 scholarship can be used toward tuition, books, or any other educational expenses.
