Dr. Elizabeth Horevitz, PhD, LCSW, has expanded her psychotherapy practice, offering evidence-based mental health services to clients across California. The practice focuses on addressing trauma, burnout, depression and anxiety through personalized care rooted in science-backed methodologies.

Dr. Elizabeth Horevitz’s psychotherapy approach integrates a range of therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) & and compassion-focused therapy. This expansion ensures that individuals throughout the state have access to tailored high quality therapeutic options, whether in-person or via telehealth sessions.

With nearly 20 years of clinical experience, Horevitz is known for her work with diverse individuals, managing the complexities of trauma and a wide range of mental health concerns. Her practice offers services to individual adults, including a specialization working with healthcare and helping professionals who often face high rates of burnout and vicarious trauma due to the demands of their roles.

“Healthcare workers often experience significant emotional strain in their work,” Horevitz said. “My goal is to provide them with the tools and support needed to navigate these challenges while fostering long-term well-being.”

Dr. Horevitz’s services extend to all adults dealing with concerns such as chronic stress & illness, grief & loss, anxiety, substance abuse, difficult life transitions, perinatal mental health issues, and difficulty with relationships and work-life balance. Dr. Horevitz holds a PhD and MSW from the University of California, Berkeley, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at UCSF’s Department of Psychiatry. In addition to her private practice, she has served as an educator, trainer and clinical thought leader in integrated behavioral health and trauma informed care, furthering advancements in psychotherapy and across California’s system of care.
