Hyattsville, MD – October 15, 2024 – Peter Iwuh, the founder of Tykoon Sports, has been awarded $5,000 in funding after taking first place in a highly competitive pitch competition hosted by Venture 4 Them and Wells Fargo. This funding will support Peter’s vision to launch a groundbreaking AI-powered platform that empowers student-athletes to build personal brands and maximize their opportunities in the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) era.
The AI platform, which Peter has been developing, aims to centralize essential elements of personal branding, merchandise, partnerships, and other vital resources for student-athletes. By offering comprehensive tools and support, this platform will enable student-athletes to fully capitalize on their brand potential, especially those who might not otherwise have access to such resources.
“I am thrilled and grateful for the support from Venture 4 Them and Wells Fargo,” said Peter Iwuh. “This funding will bring us closer to our goal of helping student-athletes navigate the complexities of personal branding in the NIL era, giving them the tools they need to thrive both on and off the field.”
Peter secured his win after a rigorous competition, where he presented his innovative platform to a panel of judges, ultimately outperforming other notable entrepreneurs, including Destiny Wesley, CEO of Measure Me, and Rashad West, CEO of BTE Analytics.
In addition to his recent victory, Peter is also a member of HBCU Five and the Paddle AI Accelerator. Both programs will provide him with further training and resources as he continues to develop and scale Tykoon Sports’ AI platform, solidifying its role as a leader in student-athlete empowerment.
