ST. LOUIS, Mo. – October 10, 2024 – Stange Law Firm is proud to announce that family law attorney Olivia Mitchell has joined the St. Louis, Missouri family law attorneys as a Senior Associate Attorney. Based in the firm’s headquarters in Clayton, Missouri, Ms. Mitchell can represent individuals throughout St. Louis County, and nearby.
Ms. Mitchell obtained her Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University School of Law in May 2021. While in law school, she received the Dean’s Scholarship and served as the Treasurer for the Black Lawyer Student Association. She was also a member of the Street Law Student Organization, the First Chair Society, and a SLU Law Admissions Ambassador. Before attending law school, Ms. Mitchell earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications as well as a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Missouri – Columbia, graduating cum laude. While earning her undergraduate degree, Ms. Mitchell also was an Outstanding Senior Recipient for Research, a TRIO CAT Scholarship recipient, and was given the First-Generation Scholar Award. She also served as Treasurer of the Human Development and Family Studies Student Association and was a member of the Black Collegians Gospel Choir. Ms. Mitchell is currently licensed to practice law in the state of Missouri.
Before joining the St. Louis divorce lawyers at Stange Law Firm, Ms. Mitchell most recently worked as an Associate Attorney for a law firm in St. Joseph, MO where her work included supervising paralegals in drafting and preparing legal documents, consulting with potential new clients daily, and developing innovative legal strategies to meet client objectives. Ms. Mitchell also previously worked as an Associate Attorney for two other firms in the St. Louis area, working to draft pleadings, meet deadlines, collaborate on legal strategies, file asbestos-related claims, conduct legal research, and draft appeals for dispute resolution. Ms. Mitchell also previously worked as a Junior Associate Attorney with Stange Law Firm in 2022.
