Monroe, Louisiana – Americana music artist Heath Forbes has released his latest single, “The Reason,” now available on all major music platforms. The track, which dropped on the eve of Valentine’s Day, marks his first release of the year. This heartfelt country song showcases Forbes’ signature style: a seamless blend of modern American music with traditional roots.
Before this release, Forbes made headlines last year with his debut single, “Living Like Outlaws,” which was well-received by audiences and praised by music critics. Reflecting on his journey to becoming a respected name in the Americana music scene, Forbes has often spoken about the years of hard work behind his success. His love for music began in his teenage years, driven by an admiration for classic country, rock & roll, and 90s alt-rock. At just 13, his passion was first recognized when he began playing the guitar.
Born and raised near Monroe, Louisiana, Forbes moved to Nashville, Tennessee, after college to pursue full-time music. Along the way, his dedication to drawing inspiration from legends like Tom Petty, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Jerry Reed played a crucial role in shaping his unique sound. Today, he credits these icons for motivating him and influencing his rise in the Americana music community.
Forbes officially entered the music industry with his first album, “Caught in the Middle,” released in 2011. He toured extensively to promote the album, performing live shows and collaborating with well-known Red Dirt artists and bands. In 2012, he landed his first record deal — a milestone that unfortunately turned into a setback when the label was shelved and eventually shut down.
Despite the disappointment, Forbes remained committed to his craft, performing around Nashville while taking time to reflect on his career. His patience and perseverance have paid off, as he now has a collection of studio-ready tracks prepared for release.
