Moscow Becomes an International Hub for Young Fashion Industries

In light of this, the importance of grand international events like Moscow Fashion Week, scheduled from March 13 to 18, lies in shining a spotlight on designers from emerging countries and promising young brands.

Fashion labels hailing from regions with rapidly growing economies are being presented with an unparalleled opportunity for a swift and impactful debut at Moscow Fashion Week. In total, over 200 fashion collections from diverse countries will be unveiled during Moscow Fashion Week.

North America will be represented by New York designer Pia Lindsay, who will close the event with her show. “Moscow has always been a city I’ve dreamed of visiting,- shared Pia Lindsay, — and I’m deeply grateful for the chance to present my brand there. I’m also passionate about learning from diverse cultural experiences.”

Moscow Fashion Week will also highlight brands with strong national identities such as Vereja, which was recognized as the “most talked about Moscow brand” by Vogue in 2020. Vereja skillfully incorporates folklore and traditional crafts into knitted patterns and prints. Another standout is ogo citizen, blending the historical heritage of Yakutia with avant-garde fashion trends. Saint Petersburg based brand Elisabetta will present a collection inspired by the 70s, featuring enveloping silhouettes with a bohemian touch. Additionally, ROGOV offers a fresh take on unconventional shapes and textures.

In the new season, Moscow Fashion Week has received more than a thousand applications within the country and from foreign regions, which shows the growing interest in the event. For Canada, Europe and the United States, such events can be a good opportunity to follow the changing trends of the global fashion industry and enter markets that were not considered promising before, but now claim high positions in global development ratings.
