According to the different processing depths, bamboo paper pulp can be divided into several categories, mainly including Unbleached Pulp, Semi-bleached Pulp, Bleached Pulp and Refined Pulp, etc. Unbleached Pulp is also known as unbleached pulp.

1. Unbleached Pulp

Unbleached bamboo paper Pulp, also known as unbleached pulp, refers to the pulp obtained directly from bamboo or other plant fibre raw materials after preliminary treatment by chemical or mechanical methods, without bleaching. This type of pulp retains the natural colour of the raw material, usually ranging from pale yellow to dark brown, and contains a high proportion of lignin and other non-cellulose components. The production cost of natural colour pulp is relatively low, and it is widely used in fields that do not require high whiteness of paper, such as packaging paper, cardboard, part of the cultural paper and so on. Its advantage is to maintain the natural characteristics of the raw material, which is conducive to the sustainable use of resources.

2. Semi-bleached Pulp

Semi-bleached bamboo paper Pulp is a type of pulp between natural pulp and bleached pulp. It undergoes a partial bleaching process, but the degree of bleaching is not as thorough as that of bleached pulp, so the colour is between natural colour and pure white, and may still have a certain yellowish tone. By controlling the amount of bleach and bleaching time during the production of semi-bleached pulp, it is possible to ensure a certain degree of whiteness while at the same time reducing production costs and environmental impact. This kind of pulp is suitable for occasions where there are certain requirements for paper whiteness but not too high whiteness, such as some specific types of writing paper, printing paper, etc.

3. Bleached Pulp

Bleached bamboo paper pulp is fully bleached pulp, its colour is close to pure white, high whiteness index. The bleaching process usually adopts chemical methods, such as the use of chlorine, hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide or hydrogen peroxide and other bleaching agents, in order to remove lignin and other coloured substances in the pulp. Bleached pulp has high fibre purity, good physical properties and chemical stability, and is the main raw material for high-grade cultural paper, special paper and household paper. Due to its high whiteness and excellent processing performance, bleached pulp occupies an important position in the paper industry.

4. Refined paper Pulp

Refined Pulp usually refers to the pulp obtained on the basis of bleached pulp, which is further treated by physical or chemical methods to improve the purity and fibre properties of the pulp. The process, which may include steps such as fine grinding, screening and washing, is designed to remove fine fibres, impurities and incompletely reacted chemicals from the pulp and to make the fibres more dispersed and softer, thereby improving the smoothness, gloss and strength of the paper. Refined pulp is particularly suitable for the production of high value-added paper products, such as high-grade printing paper, art paper, coated paper, etc., which have high requirements for paper fineness, uniformity and printing adaptability.
